Memorial Day Celebrations Central Ohio

Central Ohio hosts many activities to honor Memorial Day. A popular event in Worthington for so many years, the parade is held on Monday, May 28. Culminating at the cemetery, the parade begins at 10 on Dublin Granville Road and turns south on High. Bands, old cars, military personnel, clowns and candy thrown from the cars by the politicians and other dignitaries make this a fun time for all the family. As well, Grandview Heights will again march from Cambridge Blvd. down First Ave. to Oxley. Many alums from the Grandview High School and reunion groups participate in the event. Downtown Powell will honor the veterans with a parade and ceremony, all beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade will end at the village green with a free concert and a tour of the new Police Department. A ceremony at 2:00 on Sunday will be held in the Fairview Memorial Park, where the Delaware residents will celebrate. A parade in Dublin will begin at 11:00 a.m. and in Westerville at 9:45.
