Friendship

Last week-end my wife and four of her close friends spent 24 hours celebrating 65th birthdays. These women have been friends since their years at Ohio State University, where they were members of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. Times were different then, boys were not allowed on the “second floor” of the Kappa House and the girls were able to establish camaraderie which has lasted over 45 years! All live in the Columbus, Ohio area: Worthington, Dublin, and nearby Granville, Ohio. All have remained happily married to their husbands who also attended Ohio State University and where they all came together.
Just a short drive north, 2 hours, is Sandusky, Ohio. While Cedar Point is the main attraction, the “girls” chose to spend their time at a cottage overlooking Lake Erie. Not far away in Vermilion, Ohio, they dined at the wonderful French Restaurant, while watching the sailboats and motorized boats pass by.
Laughter and conversation filled the time and sharing memories was the best for them.
Remember to take time to smell the flowers as you travel through life. And! If you are traveling to Columbus, Ohio and are interested in looking at homes, visit our website.
