Moving? Change your address!

Posted to Phil Giessler

Yesterday, while visiting the wonderful Worthington, Ohio libraries, www.worthingtonlibraries.org , I learned my granddaughter had an overdue book. Apparently this book had been due back in July and it is now late September! The fine was huge and the collection had been turn over to a collection agency! Upon further conversation with the librarian, I discovered the notices were being sent to a year old, no longer lived in, address. Since there had been no notice at the current address, the book slipped through the cracks. The library could not have been more helpful. They scratched the overdue fine and allowed me to pay only the penalty due to the collection agency. Note: when you are moving, remember to give your change of address to everyone. Do not forget the library, school, exercise facilities. You may be missing important information as we did. And, as always, if you are moving please contact us in Columbus and surround areas, Ohio, www.camtaylor.com.

New Listings! Columbus, Ohio area

Posted to Phil Giessler

New Listings Keep on coming! We are excited that the market seemingly keeps chugging along. We are getting new listings in the central Ohio and surrounding suburbs every day!

Recently listed in the Worthington area are two great homes in different price ranges. 546 Tucker Drive is Medick Estates. Close to the schools, close to churches, walk to busline and Olde Worthington shopping – this area is beautiful. Trees surround all the homes and a very private feel and old time comfort are all part of the area. This home recently listed at $524,900, which is rather modest for the area. It is a New England Country Style residence with over an acre. The swimming pool is beautiful and the screened porch overlooks a private garden.

Not too far away, yet a bit less expensive, is 244 Heischman Ave. in popular Worthington Estates. Listed at $212,900 this is a four bedroom home with lovely hardwood floors. The kitchen is open to the family room and it is just a short walk to the community recreation center.

If you are interested in living in downtown Columbus, “where the action is,” consider this: 448 W. Nationwide Blvd. The Columbus Blue Jackets, The Columbus Clippers baseball team (recently winners of the Internation League AAA championship!), and all the “pub” action is nearby, yet the building is quiet and secure. GARAGE SPACE plus one CARPORT! Loft style living in Arena District.

Hickory floors, exposed wood & beams. Upgrades include extended Master bedroom, huge walk-in closet, upgraded lighting & paddle fans. Views of the sunset from the condominium common rooftop deck are beautiful.

So, please consider calling us at 800-848-6996 or visiting www.camtaylor.com to see interior pictures of these recently listed homes and all the central Ohio homes.

Fall is coming!

Posted to Phil Giessler

So many things to do and so little time! If you are preparing your home for winter, or to put on the market for a Spring sale, we have some suggestions to help you on your way.

To keep your home in the best shape and for it to have great curb appeal, rake those leaves! Not only does your yard look nicer but the grass under the leaves has a better chance to breath.  Clean out the gutters. The falling leaves will clog and cause overflow problems. Just be careful when you climb that ladder!  We are told that the sprinkler systems people have in their yards need to be “blown out.” This should be done before the first freeze, so better get busy.  If you are looking for spring color, get out now and plant some bulbs. Most nurseries will have information on the best time to plant and methods of planting. Cleaning out vents is a good idea as they hold the allergens that cause the sneezing and discomfort.

Supplies and helpful information might be found at most hardware stores. Popular in the Columbus, Ohio area are:
www.zettlerhardware.com
www.lowes.com
www.homedepot.com

While you are shopping, drive by our new listings in Wingate Farms at 8033 Wingate Place, Olentangy area, listed at $724,900 and if you are in the Grandview area, drive by a darling home at 1386 Holloywod Pl., listed at $126,000. Visit our new and ever changing website, www.camtaylor.com to see all the central Ohio homes currently on the market. Happy Fall!
