This historic town makes the most of its heritage with a number of local celebrations. Market Day is held in the city's New-England style downtown, as well as the Memorial Day Parade, local Labor Day festivals, 4th of July celebrations, ice cream socials on the Village Green, weekly farm markets, and so much more. The people of Worthington know and appreciate how events like these keep colonial traditions alive and help bring the community together.
In addition to its many activities and historic attractions, Worthington residents enjoy plenty of job opportunities, a strong business association, community leadership programs and classes, and a lively senior center in the downtown area within walking distance of many of the city’s most popular events. Its state and locally top-ranked schools are well supported with school sports teams playing a big part in community pride and spirit.
Ever dreamed of being an actor? You can make those dreams come true as a member of the Worthington Community Theater group. Who knows, several local actors have gone on to Broadway, so break a leg! For those of you with stage fright who still love the arts, Worthington’s active local arts council has definitely got something creative for you.
It won’t take you long to experience Worthington’s genuine sense of home, roots, and security. With so many opportunities for people and families to grow, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy and participate in.
